Three Things I Can't Wait To Do This Summer

It's officially Summer! That's right, as of last Friday, it's officially Summer. We're a few days in, and there's a heatwave forecast, I LOVE Summer. Everything I love doing it outdoors and it makes life a lot easier when you can just wake up and throw on a pair of shorts and a tshirt. So, without further adieu, I want to share Three Things I Can't Wait To Do This Summer.

Swim in the sea.
OK, admittedly I don't wait until Summer to swim in the sea. I first dipped in the sea on 1 January and I've been in regularly since. It doesn't always come with the opportunity to then hang out on the beach and dry naturally, as outside of Summer, it's often too cold for that. However, Summer means leisurely dips, laying on the warm pebbles of the beach and drying off, waiting until it's just too hot, once again and it's time to get back in. Not to mention the post-swim ice cream, this is VERY necessary.

Sleep outside.
Another thing I don't wait around until Summer to do, but again, another thing that is much easier in the warmer months. Falling asleep under the stars is one of the most magical things. Waking up with the wide open sky as your view is just brilliant. I hope to grab as many opportunities to sleep outside as I can this year.

Eat outside.
Is it just me, or does food taste better outdoors? I had a breakfast picnic last year that I still remember so fondly. Scones, clotted cream and jam with fresh brewed coffee, right after a dip in the sea. Couldn't get much better in my opinion. I'm hoping to make time for more of the same. I already celebrated the Solstice with a big picnic with my GoodGym friends, and my, it was wonderful.
