With tomorrow being World Television Day (which is meant to actually celebrate TV as a communication tool rather than a way of lounging on the sofa wasting countless hours), I decided to share three TV programmes I've watched recently. It's so difficult these days to get caught up. With all kinds of subscription service shows as well as the usual programmes on TV - I always feel pressure to choose wisely. Mostly because I don't get that much free time, so when I do I want to make sure it's going to the best use it can. Sometimes that needs to be vegging out and watching a good bit of TV. Here are Three TV Programmes I've Watched Recently. And don't worry - there won't be any spoilers.
Haunting of Hill House.
Well! I'd freaked myself out a bit before I even got stuck in because a friend messaged me and asked if I'd seen the reviews about it. People were passing out, people were being sick, it seemed like it was going to be a bit too much for me. Was it? Nah. It was definitely scary, but I really enjoyed the story as well. Someone described it to me as, "like American Horror Story, when it was good." I agree with that. It was just the right amount of scary for me, and I only had one nightmare related to it.
Big Mouth.
This programme makes me laugh so much. For those of you who haven't seen it before, it's a cartoon that is based around teenagers going through puberty. They each have a "guide", if you will, who is helping them through it. It's absolutely hilarious and after binge watching all the new episodes, I can confirm - it definitely manages to capture the awkwardness and hilarity of the teenage years.
The Good Place.
When I first watched The Good Place, I knew I was going to like it when I got to see the point system they were using. It was very clever. I'm all caught up and am already looking forward to more. It's a very amusing look at the afterlife.
What have you been watching? What's on your "to watch" list? I'd love some recommendations!
