Today I’m sharing Three weddings I'd like to have been a guest at. Why? Well, due to the royal wedding coming along - all the talk everywhere is all about weddings and I'm not even going to a single one this year! This post was inspired by a chat with my dad.

My mum and dad.
When they tell me stories of the early years in their relationship I always wish I could have known them then. They met in 1972 when my mum was over from Canada and travelling around Europe. She stumbled upon a pub in Portsmouth and he overheard her speaking to her friend and fell in love. She returned to Canada and they tried to keep the long distance thing going but it was really hard at the time. They split up for a little bit before one night my dad phoned up my mum over in Canada and asked her to marry him. They married in 1979 and have been in love ever since. -
Patti Smith and Fred "Sonic" Smith.
Patti Smith is my first memory of really liking music. My dad used to play it for me all the time when I was a little kid and I'd dance around merrily, hanging on her every word. I remember it was the first time I really felt anything about music. A few years back my dad and I got to go see her together and he said it was just as good as when he saw her in the 70s. I'd love to just have had a chat with her.
